BIO
As Co-Owner of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, one of the most respected franchises in all of professional sports, Co-Founder of Vox3 Films, an independent film company in New York, and President of Eagles Youth Partnership, the charitable wing of the Eagles committed to improving the health and education of youth in the Greater Philadelphia region, Christina Weiss Lurie plays a role in the worlds of sports, entertainment and philanthropy.
After she and her husband, Jeffrey Lurie, purchased the NFL franchise in 1994, Christina Weiss Lurie supported the club's efforts in becoming a leader off the field -- as well as on it. Most notably, she founded the Eagles Youth Partnership (EYP) in 1995, which serves over 50,000 low-income children in the Greater Philadelphia region every year and focuses on literacy, vision and after-school programs. EYP directly services kids at their schools and in their neighborhoods via the Eagles Eye Mobile and Eagles Book Mobile programs - like wings on wheels, blending celebrity with fun in order to reach the hardest to reach children. The organization is also known for its annual playground builds and a variety of other programs and events.
In addition to EYP, Christina Weiss Lurie was instrumental in the creation and design of Lincoln Financial Field, the club's state-of-the-art stadium and the NovaCare Complex, the club's corporate headquarters and training facility. Both facilities are widely praised for their striking architecture, design and amenities.
Most recently, Christina developed GO GREEN, a ground-breaking initiative to better the environment by creating and sustaining programs that improve the quality of life in the Philadelphia region, green the environment and reduce the team's impact on the planet.
In 2004, Christina Weiss Lurie co-founded Vox3 Films to produce a diversified slate of independent films and television projects. She produced the independent feature films, AMERICA BROWN and GAME 6, starring Michael Keaton and Robert Downey Jr. and has just completed FEEL, a Matt Mahurin film, BROKEN ENGLISH, a Zoe Cassavettes film starring Parker Posey, and NEVER FOREVER, starring Vera Farmiga. FUR AN IMAGINARY PORTRAIT, starring Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr. is also a Vox3 production.
In addition to her active role in sports and entertainment, Christina Weiss Lurie serves on a number of boards, including The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, the ICA in Philadelphia, Starlight/Starbright Foundation in Los Angeles and the Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation.
