Rodarte went Tribal during their New York Fashion Week show.

Patrick McMullan had an artsy night out.

Check it. Who’s cooler: NYC or Paris? Read a style debate between NY men and Parisian men. No clear winner has been declared.

See New York Fashion Week from a different angle. We call it FASHION IN PROGRESS.

Lynn Yaeger didn’t make it to Queens for Fashion’s Night Out. Oh well.

Announcing the launch of FULL FRONTAL FASHION, an all new style destination offering insider access to the highly creative world of contemporary fashion. Meet the designers, influencers, artists and trends at the forefront of international style and glamor. FULL FRONTAL FASHION will unveil the craft, creativity and passion of the most authentic artists working in, and around, the world of fashion today.

Rarely is fashion considered purely as an art form — it’s more of a publicity tool, a shopping opportunity or status symbol. Yet, behind the label, in a small warehouse or atelier somewhere, designers put their pens to paper, take a 2-dimensional inspiration and make it a 3-dimensional work of art.

We want to celebrate that process with FULL FRONTAL FASHION — and show all the exciting underpinnings of putting together a collection. We hope to start with inspiration, which as we all know can be anything, and explore construction and ultimately how and why clothing gets sold and worn.

We have gathered a diverse group of creative writers, photographers, artists and stylists to write about their fashion perspective each day on the FULL FRONTAL FASHION blog.

Log On. Tune-In. Buckle Up!

Anyone who is a fashion lover, and really, what good gay isn’t, has been watching Style.com religiously the last month as major fashion weeks have come and gone. The New York Times’ amazing blog The Moment recently spotlighted the men’s fashion week shows in Milan and Paris.

But don’t expect to see the clothes.  Those of us on the outside of the fashion world (which is a much safer place to be btw) rarely, if ever, get to see the elaborate invitations to the runway shows. Not anymore. Blogger Jun Li shows us the best of the invites including an orange hat for DSquared and a message in a bottle from Kenzo.

Webnewser’s Hunter Walker made an interesting find: North Korea’s repressive regime is apparently selling T-shirts and other kitschy propaganda through Cafepress, the online custom gift store. Promoted on the official website of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the store features stylish offerings like this one:
