Naked News: Teen sexting “epidemic”? Turns out we should all chillax
- Here’s something to LOL about: A new study shows that the whole teen sexting thing was — shocker — largely media hype, and that only 1% of kids age 10-17 have texted an explicit picture of themselves. And a million teens roll their eyes and say “We told you so.”
- Speaking of overreacting: Turns out that the trope that “men think about sex every 7 seconds” is total bull (Again: shocking, we know.) Actual research shows that men think about sex, on average, 18.6 times a day — and for women the average is 9.9 times a day. Not exactly the distance from Mars the Venus, right? For comparison: men think about food almost 18 times a day (and women almost 15 times a day).
A very Gaga Christmas
If you celebrated Thanksgiving like any American family—with the arguments and the sweet potatoes — you may have caught A Very Gaga Thanksgiving. I watched it and it was weirdly macabre and oddly lit. I loved it because I hated it; I hated it because I loved it. The Katie Couric interview! The 12 costume changes! The salami waffles and the interpretive dancing! The only bad thing about it is she’s not doing one for Christmas. But, I’m like Santa Claus and I give gifts, so I’m planning a Christmas special for her.
Curtain — Lady Gaga comes out of a long hallway wearing a tree, or IS a tree. A tree covered in dildos. She breaks out in “Bad Romance” as everybody in the world freaks out. She still does that song! We love that she still does that song! She’s standing inside a gingerbread house that is made up men wearing gold body paint and gold spandex booty shorts. Instead of singing the highest WANT YOUR BAD ROMANCE right where she catches fire in the vid, she sings WANTS A WHITE CHRISTMAS! And we all nod because yes, because who doesn’t want a white Christmas.

SNL got really gay this past Saturday night. Yes, Justin Timberlake hosted. Yes, Lady Gaga performed. But nothing could have prepared me for the return of the Dick In A Box singers, Timberlake and Andy Samberg. After brief cameos by Patricia Clarkson and Susan Sarandon, the pair focus on Lady Gaga. Hilarity ensues when the [...]

Gawker’s Brian Moylan rips Lady Gaga’s new column for V Magazine to shreds. In a post entitled “Lady Gaga’s First Magazine Column Is as Annoying as You Expected” Moylan lets us in on the fact that Gaga spells Marc Bolan’s name wrong and laughs at her lecture on art and fashion. Moylan’s not buying it: [...]

Lady Gaga’s eggscellent photographer?
Lady Gaga did not disappoint with her red carpet entrance to this year’s Grammy Awards, which the pop singer entered in an egg shaped vessel. The moment would have been perfect if one of the photographers in the red carpet scrum included this sculpture by Hans Hemmert.

Now that Cher’s been snubbed by Oscar, Christina’s career is in a slump, and Madonna’s gone silent, it is safe to say that the world’s stereotypical gay homosexuals can be lumped into two camps: Gaga and Britney. Hi. I am Bradford. I am the big homosexual around Sundance Channel. Yes, Sundance hired me to be gay. I write the Homoculture column on the SUNfiltered blog and I am the cofounder of fabulis, a social network of 100K gay men and growing. They made the right decision in hiring me. I don’t think there is anyone gayer in this world. Except for maybe Boy George, Johnny Weir, and Liberace. But Liberace’s dead, so I’m claiming spot Number #3.
Well enough about me (oh yeah, I bet your best gay friend says that all the time too, and guess what, we don’t really mean it). But I do want to talk to you. The fruit fly! The fag hag! The girl at the club dancing in the corner with the sweaty sea of shirtless men. You, honey. We have something to discuss.
A national holiday is before us. Gay Christmas! The one day of the year it is totally acceptable to go to work dressed as Shakira. Or Bea Arthur. Or a fetish cop. Yes, Halloween, Miss Thing!
I know Halloween. And though I look super young (moisturize! moisturize! moisturize!) I have actually seen my fair share of Halloweens. Which is why I come to you, lady, with this list of Halloween Dos & Don’ts from GIRLS WHO LIKE BOYS WHO LIKE BOYS:

When I saw, and wrote about, OMD’s new record the other day a few of my younger friends said they’d never heard of OMD. Never heard of OMD? I was shocked. I felt old. Very, very old.
This realization that the youth of today is missing out on such a wonderful period of music, the 1980s, shocked me. Um, where do you think Gaga got all her ideas? I started searching through the 15K songs in my iTunes library. Where did pop music as we know it today come from? Too electric to be Rock. Too camp to be hip-hop. Today’s pop music, from Ke$Ha to Gaga to Rihanna, owes much to electro-pop.

GaGa shows off to the press. That’s my girl! Photo by Nick Laham / Getty Images.
With it being summer, I thought I’d put together a little cheat sheet about what’s hot in my imagination for this summer, my summer in the city.
LADY GAGA
Let’s face it, the last two years have been years of Gaga, but there is something so personal about her music and her style that inspires me every day. From the mini short clad dancers in her new “Alejandro” music video, to her whimsical display of her middle finger at major sporting events, there’s nothing not to love. Lady Gaga’s adoration for her fans is something that everyone who is blessed enough to have fans should learn from. There isn’t a morning, day or night in these hot months that I am not rocking my “Poker Face.”
FASHION
Summer fashion isn’t always something that I go for, I have disproportionate leg muscles which can make shorts and issue, and my skin is paler than Casper’s, but I love letting some skin show and making my skinny rib statements on every hot, sticky, miserable day. Chanel has some amazing tanks from their summer collection, Garreth Pugh put out an insane pair of leather leggings for those frisky nights out grinding to the “thumpa thumpa” and J Brand has introduced “Jegging” shorts, which are basically denim inspired biker shorts that make my booty look glorious. I may prefer bundling up in fur for winter, but this summer there are a lot of hot things to try.
Bionic Woman: Christina Aguilera
I find it funny that while a Christina Aguilera backlash occurs across the county, fueled by the venom of Perez Hilton, that I am seeing the singer’s talent much more clearly. A few months ago had you mentioned Xtina and Gaga in the same sentence I would have most definitely opined on the subject. Gaga was the clear star. The new winner. The heir apparent to Madonna. She was smarter in her pop references than Xtina, she could actually sing, Ms. Spears, and she was not created by a record company. She created her own looks. And songs. And hooks.

I appreciate Lady Gaga. Really I do. The pop culture/art/downtown performers/drag references in her work often make me giggle, sometime make me wince, but also make me think that’s she’s pretty bright for someone her age.
