Bedazzling for the Lord — Check out MORE GWLBWLB

So, what do you think of Shane’s Jesus t-shirts? Well, we’re never going to turn down something sparkly, but perhaps they were a bit…much? Sherrié certainly seemed to think so. Everyone is entitled to their own spiritual journey, so let’s check out the journey that brought us these fabulous shirts. They certainly didn’t just emerge fully formed and perfectly bedazzled, you know.

It’s not you, it’s me: Managing your inner drama queen

The fruit never falls too far from the tree, so people naturally absorb behavior from their parents, but also friends. I mean we choose to keep our friends around, why shouldn’t they be as much of an influence? And if we know we’re prone to letting drama queens and their episodes into our world, don’t be shocked to recognize a bit of thespian flair inside you.

Decriminalizing gay: Belize with a ‘Z’, like Liza

Before today, the only way Belize was ever topical was when I was discussing chic places to escape winter with my nouveau riche fashion friends. Inevitably the eco-resort off its coast where the petit bourgeois, and Tiger Woods, go to getaway from the drama, came up. But now it seems the former British colony is going to be the test case for progressive politics on a global level as its court prepares to hear an argument to decriminalize homosexuality. Belize is poised to be the Tunisia of a Gay Spring. As if there weren’t a cruising scene in that jungle already.

Will Country Music come out of the closet?

A few years ago, Willie Nelson released an iTunes single called “Cowboys are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other.” As a novelty tune prompted by the popularity of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, it hardly represented a serious attempt to introduce gay subject matter into country music. But, in its own jocular way, it did break through a verboten barrier for the genre and cause some folks in Nashville to look around at each other and think: Just how many music-industry “cowboys” are we talking about here? And just how necessary is the secrecy?

Movies that suck (and some that don’t): what’s playing this week on Sundance Channel

Who said you can’t have dessert first? Start your holiday indulgence early with this week’s episode of Love Lust, Chocolate edition. Then get ready for the season premiere of Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys with a jam-packed week of your favorite episodes from season one. And if you just can’t get enough, check out all the sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes looks at season two in Nashville, including a full episode available to watch with your friends online.

On Thursday night, EYES WIDE SHUT sets the mood when Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman get creepy sexy. Then Sundance takes things a bit further and celebrates vampire sex appeal on Friday night with Love Lust & Vampires, followed by the original vampire killing hottie, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (with Luke Perry, remember him? That kid was gonna be a star! Lesser known fact: Donald Sutherland and Paul Reubens also make appearances.) Speaking of which, if they ever get around to making that once talked about BUFFY reboot, Buffy original Kristy Swanson says she’s up for the job, any job, actually…

Top 10 Hollywood Hot Messes Who Need a Gay Best Friend

Nobody provides water cooler fodder than the hottest hot messes in Hollywood. We love ‘em to little bits and crushed-up, little, prescription medication pieces simply because they can’t seem to stop…screwing up. Lindsay posing in Playboy? Like Marilyn? Again? Courtney Stodden is getting her breasts examined on national television? I don’t get it–does bleach leak into your brain? Of course, instead of dipping into the schadenfreude we could be real pals and get these ladies and gents some help…in the form of a gay man, of course. Nothing says intervention quite like one of our beloved gay boyfriends telling us to wake up and smell the vodka all over our clothes!!

God Like Us: Loving the Lord Who Loves You

I think most Americans grow up as part of some kind of religious community, even if they were raised by hippies on a commune, like Wynona Ryder. Children, however, don’t have a say as to which communities and beliefs they’re exposed to. That’s one of the few perks a parent has. But, as kids get older they realize they are gay, bisexual, two-spirit, Chaz Bono, and start to feel the pressures of dogma on their sensitive backsides. For many of us, it’s the first real challenge of our faith and our faith in our community.

On Bullies, Bullying and Brett Ratner

This season’s girls and boys are no strangers to bullying. Spoiler Alert! Many LGBTQ youth are ridiculed for being perceived as different and, sadly, it doesn’t always to stop when they get older. It does get better, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Just listen to Shane’s gut-wrenching account of his recent confrontation with a homeless man, and then watch Jared recount another big bully…the Ku Klux Klan.

Buckle Up, Bible Belt! Welcome To The Gay South

Thought you knew everything there was to know about the South? Well, it’s not all cotillion parties and gratuitous displays of your Second Amendment rights, though both are pretty fabulous in their own right. The Nashville cast of GIRLS WHO LIKE BOYS WHO LIKE BOYS is about to show us a kinder, gentler (OK, sometimes bitchier) side to living out and proud in the South.

A Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys Relationship Primer

The GWLBWLB objective is to have fun.

Symbiotic relationships have proven successful in the ongoing battle against natural selection. Take, for instance, the Clown Fish and Sea Anemone or the Homosexual Male and his Best Girlfriend. Both bonds persevere thanks to a certain chemistry. For gay men and straight women it may have something to do with their mutual attraction to men (sometimes the same one), but perhaps it’s deeper, as if nature, or some ‘Intelligent Designer,’ thought to create an ideal way for the sexes to coexist.

What’s So Special About My BGBF?

BGBF–Your Best Gay Boy Friend. Sort of a cute little nickname, right?

I always thought my constant relationships with gay men were completely normal. Growing up in a liberal section of Westchester, New York, I did a lot of theater (I played a prostitute twice in high school, which I’m sure pleased my parents endlessly). I watched my guy friends become my gay friends as they started to slowly come out of closets and admit to their worlds that they were homosexual. It was simply what happened, and I didn’t pay much attention to it. Why? Because I was worried about my own sexuality, specifically my own lack of sexuality while I tried to get any guy to want to kiss my slobbery, brace-filled face.
