Urbanized

Filmmaker Gary Hustwit is at it again. After having created two fantastic films, Helvetica and Objectified, he’s now busy at work on Urbanized. His newest film “a feature-length documentary about the design of cities which looks at the issues and strategies behind urban design, and features some of the world’s foremost architects, planners, policymakers, builders, and thinkers” is being made now.
Hustwit’s film’s blog has so far been a great read, like a recent post on his journey to Mumbai (a place I have been to twice in the last 6 months too). He is indeed correct; Mumbai makes NYC seem quiet.
While Hustwit’s films are awesome, the packaging and promotional material, like the previous two films, are a design lovers’ dream. Check out Build‘s posters for the film. What better way to support independent filmmaking than by getting art in return?
