I could spend hours out of my day cruising Vimeo. I find the most unique films and videos there. After seeing Swan Lake last night, I’m kinda on this water fowl kick, you know? And so happy I was to have stumbled upon Bart van der Gaag‘s short film AUTUMN BY THE LAKE.
Filmed in Uppsala, Sweden on the lake Fjällnora the movie is a moody and ethereal look at the lake and its inhabitants, many a winged kind. The images, perfectly matched with “Prituri se planinata” performed by the late Stefka Sabotinova, are dark and beautiful.
Put on some cashmere. Button up. Fall is here and this gem captures the season’s essence.
