The knitting clock
July 21, 2010

One of the “knit-er” pieces exhibited at the 2010 DMY International Design Festival in Berlin was German designer Siren Elise Wilhelmsen’s piece “365.” It’s a year round clock that “seeks to give a physical manifestation to the change of time” by automatically knitting a two-yard long scarf in one year with one revolution equaling one day. This reminds of the do-it-yourself craft culture embodied by MAKE Magazine and available for sale on Etsy.
It’s you, perfected!
