The Chat Roulette Game
March 15, 2010
The latest Internet IT thing, Chat Roulette has been exhaustively covered at this point by the blogosphere and the mainstream media’s culture pages, but for those still not yet familiar, here’s a quick primer: This minimalist (and often NSFW) website, created by 17-year-old Russian Andrey Ternovskiy, connects your computer’s web cam (with your permission first) randomly with a stranger’s from across the world. You can opt to chat with that person, or as usually happens, click “Next” to see who else will pop up on your screen. As the New York Times stated it’s “both enthralling and distasteful.” This edited video below is the best thing and most safe-for-work item I’ve seen yet of the Chat Roulette experience.
Has Anyone Said This Sh*t? (Yes.)
