Record grooves under an electron microscope

Chris Supranowitz, a researcher at The Insitute of Optics at the University of Rochester took a glance at vinyl records using his lab’s electron microscope. The results: AWESOME. The one above looks like a natural landscape of a canyon on Mars. Man, I want an electron microscope – the possibilities would be endless.
