There are so many amazing restaurants in New York City that it’d be impossible to try them all without spending a fortune, but gastro-enthusiasts rejoice, it’s the return of Cook.Eat.Drink.Live. With the boom of celebrity chefs, there are more cooking shows, more reality cooking shows, and more food tastings than ever, so how do you know which ones are worth it?

Cook.Eat.Drink.Live boasts three days of hands-on cooking tutorials from top-name chefs along with wine, beer and food tastings from some of the best restaurants in the city. On opening night, Apotheke mixologist Orson Salicetti will demonstrate some of his prize-winning concoctions, and the folks from Robert Mondavi will be on hand all weekend long with classes that will answer everything you’ve always wanted to know about wine but were too afraid to ask. Then head over to the tasting room to sober up with Zagat-rated restaurants like SD26, Rouge Tomate, BiCE, Spoonbread, Morton’s, Mercadito and Melt, to name a few.

Oct. 6-8 at The Tunnel/La.Venue, 608 West 28th St. Tickets are $65. Proceeds benefit Action Against Hunger.
