I'm not American but i really feel concerned by preserving wilderness wherever it is (we all live on the same planet, connected, one. Goethe) The election of president Obama was a great sign not only for the USA but for the world and it is very important that this sign continues to shine in order to inspire other countries. I live in France, i try to be the more careful as i can about my actions (what i use, consume). But if i am sure that individuals actions are essentials, i am sure that governments, institutions must act too. We have no time to waste... You speak about beauty, wild area as symbol of american spirit and i understand as much as i live in a place which inspires me the same feeling (not particularly american spirit but human spirit) and i feel grateful for these words you wrote and i hope they will be heard...
