- Fart-powered fuel cells? Sort of… Danbury, Connecticut-based FuelCell Energy recently installed two fuel cell power plants at food processor Gills Onions that “…create electricity using old onions and a process that mimics how the human body expels gas”
- Solar-powered parking: Austin, Texas is replacing traditional parking meters with “pay stations [that] are solar-powered, take credit cards, debit cards and coins, and will replace the 3,800 outdated single-space parking meters around the city.”

- Beer to ethanol: San Diego microbrewery Karl Strauss has entered a partnership with Green House Energy and E-Fuel to convert waste yeast into ethanol (via Cleantechnica)
- How to market a car — free solar-powered wifi: That’s what Toyota’s trying with the 3rd-generation Prius: giant display ads that look like sunflowers, and provide a place to sit with free wifi.

My girls and I we’ve had more prepaid credit cards over time than we can count, including Bank Freedom, Greendot, etc. But, the last few years we have found that one is the best for our needs AccountNow Visa. Why? Because I was thrilled to discover how well-designed and no trouble to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) AccountNow Visa’s are.
