		<description>Oh yeah, it&#039;s exactly like that too!  Funny thing is I still have a lot of similar feelings about my children when they&#039;re sleeping even though they&#039;re now 12 and 9.

This being their last day of school before summer vacation starts I might soon feel less romantic (occasional absence really does make the heart grow fonder) but for now?  I just went up to wake them and I just sat there and listened to their breathing and watched the world of dreams passing underneath their eyelids.  Sigh.

It&#039;s definitely one of those &quot;you had to have been there&quot; things, and not everyone wants to go there. But it&#039;s pretty deluxe.

Nice to hear about the book about straight-up being a dad (compared to, say, Michael Lewis&#039;s semi-detached &quot;Home Game: Accidental Guide to Fatherhood&quot;) and I enjoyed this excerpt.
