A time to rage and resist

Yesterday I wrote about the meaning of the rainbow flag to the gay community and its origins. So it seems rather appropriate that today I stumbled upon  this fantastic video of Gilbert Baker, the creator of the rainbow pride flag.

In light of Obama’s Justice Department brief defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) Baker’s words and call to action sadly seem just as necessary as they did during the turbulent time he designed the flag.

Pride is not all about parties and celebrating. It, too, must be a time about activism.
