		<description>The data showing that older mothers have smarter children might be misleading.  People in poor socioeconomic conditions, who are less educated, or who might (though I&#039;m hesitant to suggest it) simply be less smart than others surveyed are probably more likely to have had children at a very young age (e.g. teen pregnancies).  Having children when you&#039;re old might not make your kids smarter...smarter people might just be waiting longer to have children.  And then, of course, genetics/socioeconomic conditions/family situations pass the intelligence on down.  In reality, the chance of birth defects and complications in pregnancy goes up once a woman hits 35.</description>
