This Week on THE GREEN

Airs every Tuesday night starting at 8PM on the Sundance Channel.
IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN: EPISODE 6
Water availability can separate successful homesteads from struggling homesteads. Having free access to water is a huge benefit for people living in regions with lots of fresh water at the same time as it can be a tremendous burden for communities with scarce water resources. Places like California demonstrate the vital importance of water resources.
The water theme is explored on IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN: Episode 6. The Strawbridge house has been running everything from water purchased from the the ‘MAINS’ (Municipal Watershed). Dick is on a quest to hook up a water pump to the spring that bubbles away at the bottom of the family garden. Bridgette is excited about this project and feels it is perhaps the most important conservation innovation that has be done on the homestead thus far.
Here is a short clip that will give you a taste for some of the events this week.
