BIO

Steve Hamilton-Shaw was born in Birmingham, England. He attended Warwick School where he was awarded a Major Scholarship. After leaving school he completed a Foundation Course in Art and Design (Video) achieving a National Diploma with Merit. He graduated in 1996 from the University of Kent with a 1st Class Degree in Film Studies and Philosophy. During his time at University Steve also completed a Foundation course in Film Production with Panico Studios.

Prior to joining Rocket Pictures, Hamilton-Shaw worked with independent producers such as Lynda Myles (THE COMMITMENTS, THE SNAPPER) before moving on to work for blue chip film distributors/financiers PolyGram, Lions Gate Films and New Line / Fine Line Features. Hamilton-Shaw is a partner and director of Rocket Pictures, which has a first look deal with Disney/Miramax. He produced his debut film "IT'S A BOY GIRL THING" in 2006 and is currently producing a major animated feature, "GNOMEO AND JULIET" for Disney / Miramax directed by Kelly Asbury.
