BIO

Jordan Jacobs is President of Spybox Pictures, which he founded to develop and co-produce the television series SPECTACLE: ELVIS COSTELLO WITH. Spybox is currently developing other television and film projects, and is involved in select music industry ventures.

Jacobs is a lawyer and principal of leading boutique entertainment law firm Jacobs Entertainment & Media Law, which he founded in 2002. The firm represents clients in all aspects of the entertainment and media industries, including Academy Award™ and Grammy Award™ winners.

Jacobs was admitted to Toronto's prestigious Osgoode Hall Law School at age 19, and received his law degree in 1995 as one of the school's youngest graduates. He began his legal career in 1995 at a prominent Toronto law firm where he practiced in both the financing and entertainment departments. He joined the entertainment department exclusively in mid-1998 at age 25, by which point he was involved in negotiating and closing transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $1.5 Billion.

Jacobs is co-author of the Music Law chapter of the Butterworths publication Entertainment Law in Canada and is a frequent guest speaker to industry and law school groups and conferences. During law school, Jacobs also worked at Canada Basketball where he held the position of Assistant General Manager of Canada's National & Olympic Teams Program.
