USA Today loves Top of the Lake’s “great performances”
In Sundance Channel’s original series Top of the Lake, premiering tonight at 9PM, Paradise is a slice of land that betrays its name. But, according to USA Today, “For seven weeks, it’s going to be a fabulous place to visit. And come Emmy time, a hard place to top.”
Elisabeth Moss is “so good” and Holly Hunter is “at her most weirdly enigmatic”:
Certainly, anyone who’s felt TV has been in a bit of a lull of late now has reason to once again fire up the DVR, because this is a series you’ll want to watch — and maybe even rewatch — each week.
