Chelsie Hill, 20, was born and raised in Monterey, California. A dancer since the age of 3, she was on the dance team all 4 years in high school.

Chelsie was a popular 17-year-old senior in high school when she left a party in an SUV with a friend who had been drinking. The SUV veered off the road and crashed into a tree, snapping Chelsie’s back. She was airlifted to a trauma center, where she underwent seven hours of surgery to fuse her broken back. Paralyzed from the waist down, she spent two months in the hospital recuperating. Three months after her injury, Chelsie returned to school and graduated.

With her father Jon, she went on to establish a nonprofit foundation, The Walk and Roll Foundation, to aid people with spinal cord injuries. She speaks frequently at high schools and other venues, sharing her story with young people to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. Chelsie was recruited by Auti to join Colours 'n' Motion in October 2010, and she is the only person in a wheelchair on the Villains dance crew. She will begin attending college in February 2012. Chelsie and her dad started The Walk and Roll Foundation which is dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons affected by spinal cord injuries (SCI). Check it out below.
