BIO

Tom Baccarella is a 27-year veteran of the Long Island construction industry. He is a certified HERS rater and energy consultant with New York Building Technology Group, focusing on residential energy conservation.

Mr. Baccarella is also the Director of Operations for Habitat for Humanity in Nassau County. His primary focus is on energy efficient housing for low income families. He has worked as a subject matter expert for several programs including the National Center for Construction Education and Research, and Pearson Publishing.

Some of his other certifications include; Licensed NYS home inspector, OSHA outreach instructor, Master Trainer and Technical Instructor for NYS apprenticeship program, LI Climate Action Network educator, and Technical Instructor for NYS home inspection licensing.

He lives in Holbrook, NY with his wife and son.
