Note: I caught up with these two cuties at the Narita International Airport during a recent layover in Tokyo. Both are sales clerks at Mono Comme Ça, a Japanese concept-lifestyle store in Terminal 1.

Who are you wearing?
Our t-shirts and our scarves are from Mono Comme Ça. We sell bags, wallets and accessories, but also some clothes. The accessories are from cheap stores in Harajuku. You don’t have to spend lots of money to be trendy in Japan.
What were you thinking?
It is starting to get cold in Tokyo, so we wanted to stay warm.
Where are you going?
After work, we will go back to our homes in Narita.

Who are you wearing?
My coat and scarf are Nora Wolf originals. I found this great upholstery fabric in Montreal and knew that it had to be a fabulous jacket! The boots are Dollhouse; I bought them off-season and spent the whole summer waiting to wear them. H&M made that fabulous bag.
What were you thinking?
I was recently in Chicago, went thrifting, and ended up getting this flower-patterned sweater. Since today is its debut, I constructed my outfit around the sweater, hence the dress (also a thrift-store purchase, though I think originally it was Urban Outfitters). I really like wearing thick socks with these boots — it enforces the “work boot” feel they already have, plus it adds another level of interest and texture.
Where are you going?
I’m spending the whole day running around the city, helping a client with a really unique, totes awesome and inspired marketing plan. It’s very hands-on and involved. I’m loving it!

Who are you wearing?
The suede pumps are Steven. I have on J Brand jeans and the shirts are Alchemic. My necklace and leather gloves are vintage and were my grandmother’s. I love the leather bow on the gloves. My sunglasses are Ray-Bans, and the scarf, I made. It is called the Super Extra and I sell it on Etsy under RisaMade.
What were you thinking?
I was thinking that the weather was so nice I did not need to wear a coat.
Where are you going?
To drop off a scarf for a client down the street.

The shoes are Corso Como, and the jeans are Uniqlo. My cowl-neck sweater is by Akira out of Chicago. My wrap is by Cush, and my jewelry and scarf I picked up at the Brooklyn Flea.
What were you thinking?
About this color palette that I was working on last night: Copper Penny. I design textiles.
Where are you going?
To pick up a magazine a job that I did was published in. … I’m also an interior designer.

Don’t laugh. The top is H&M and the romper is Forever 21. The tights are Nicole Miller and these shoes are ANCIENT Kenneth Cole, from Daffy’s!
What were you thinking?
In general I was thinking about change, enjoying surprise, and making happiness. Oh, and sweets. I’m always thinking about sweets. When I got dressed? Wow. Everything I own is dirty, and I can’t decide if I’m warm or chilly.

On my way to buy a giant Moleskine in Soho!
