Unmade Beds
Appeared at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival
Argentine filmmaker Alexis Dos Santos serves up a tender, bohemian tale of self-definition and love, which the Village Voice praised as “bursting with the spirit of Jean-Luc Godard and Wong Kar-wai.” Spanish expat Axl (Fernando Tielve) arrives in London to find his long-lost father. A failed romance leaves Vera (Deborah François) wary of revealing anything about herself. With a chaotic East London squatter’s warehouse serving as their home base, Vera and Axl pursue separate yet parallel individual quests for meaning, affection and identity.
