Theo & Thea (and The 7 Dwarfs)

In the 1980s, two of the strangest characters on Dutch television were Theo (Arjan Ederveen) and Thea (Tosca Niterink), a pair of buck-toothed, bespectacled adults with children’s mannerisms (á la Pee Wee Herman or Jerry Lewis), who dispensed information about taboo subjects, reveled in rude behavior and celebrated bad taste. This outrageous comedy feature, directed by Pieter Kramer, follows Theo and Thea as they commandeer an art museum and visit a creepy Austrian castle while trying to film their own distinctive fairy tale adventure.
