The Prince Of Pennsylvania

Keanu Reeves stars as the restless teenage son of a stubborn coal miner (Fred Ward) and his tough-talking wife (Bonnie Bedelia) in Ron Nyswaner’s bittersweet comedy set in rural Pennsylvania. Sullen, alienated Rupert (Reeves) dreams of escaping the working-class world and soon befriends one of the small town’s other outsiders, an unreformed hippie (Amy Madigan) who runs a local drive-in. Fueled by both idealism and desperation, the pair sets in motion an audacious scheme to kidnap Rupert’s father and hold him for ransom.
