The New Protocol
In the spirit of ’70s political paranoia classics, Thomas Vincent’s smart French thriller follows the quest of Kraft (Clovis Cornillac), a rural woodsman, who suspects a pharmaceutical company may be implicated in his son’s death. For the police it was an ordinary road accident, but an anti-globalization activist (Marie-Josee Croze) informs Kraft that his son was actually a guinea pig in a test of a new medication — and before long there are very dangerous reasons to believe the pair know too much. “Adrenaline-charged” — Variety.
