In filmmaker Cho Dong-Oh's spectacular and stylish Korean martial arts fantasy, Jung Woo-Sung plays Yi Gwak, a wandering warrior who saves a town from a demon uprising only to fall prey to a nefarious plot hatched by the villagers. After being poisoned and passing out, Yi Gwak wakes in a place located between heaven and earth, where the dead serve time before being reincarnated. However, Yi Gwak isn't actually dead, and among the deceased he encounters many former allies, including his lover, whose memory of her life on earth has been erased.
