Strangers
Appeared at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival
Spontaneous realism, faultless acting and engaging characters distinguish Erez Tadmor and Guy Nattiv’s dramatic feature about the star-crossed romance of an Israeli man (Liron Levo) and a Palestinian woman (Lubna Azabal), who meet in Berlin during the 2006 World Cup finals. Later when they reunite, they discover personal history is unavoidable and may doom their “impossible” relationship. A triumph of improvisational filmmaking, STRANGERS was in production when the Second Lebanon War broke out, events incorporated into the fiction on screen.
