Shadows In The Palace

Making her directorial debut, Korean filmmaker Kim Mi-jeong presents a sumptuous historical whodunit set within the rigid world of a Chosun Dynasty royal court. A nurse (Park Jin-hee) investigating the suicide of a court maid discovers that the deceased was actually murdered and that her death may be part of a conspiracy involving the line of royal succession. Combining elements of lavish costume drama, suspenseful political thriller and uncanny supernatural shocker, SHADOWS IN THE PALACE is engrossing and entertaining.
