After college, Karen (Karen Felber) moves to a new town to be close to her boyfriend and pursue her dream of becoming a writer. However, she finds little harmony in small-town life. Her job is unfulfilling, and in despair Karen considers some risky solutions in an effort to gain a sense of security. Shot with hand-held cameras and devoid of a dramatic underscore, filmmaker Andrew Gillis’s moving and psychologically astute debut feature was awarded an official certificate for following Dogme 95′s rules for “cinematic chastity.”
