Rains

A summer’s day is darkened by a sudden rainstorm. Birds seek shelter and activity slows down as time expands. A woman determined to face the downpour tries to open an unwilling umbrella; a car refuses to start. The rain gets heavier and time seems to stand still. What if the sun never came out again? Pedestrians, cars, dogs, everything is caught in the rain, which lashes down on human vanity. But finally the clouds thin out, a bird takes flight and life continues.
