Romanian filmmaker Corneliu Porumboiu presents a police procedural of a very different order, praised by the Los Angeles Times as “a gently subversive intellectual exercise.” Cristi (Dragos Bucur), a police detective in a minor village, is assigned to investigate a high-school student for drug violations.
