Directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Cynthia Wade, Living the Legacy follows three young students as they separate from their parents and enroll in Milton Hershey School, a residential school in Pennsylvania. The film follows the children during their first school year – a turbulent, dramatic and eye-opening experience for the students and their families. One hundred years ago, chocolate magnate Milton Hershey and his wife Catherine decided to use their wealth to create a home and a school for orphaned children. Today, Milton Hershey School provides an exceptional residential education for 1,800 boys and girls at no cost to their families.
