Five Disasters Waiting To Happen

After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 Asian Tsunami, global disaster experts are seriously investigating other possible natural disaster scenarios triggered by climate change. This British documentary from Stephen McQuillan and Sophie Todd considers five locations of concern — including Shanghai and Mumbai, which are particularly vulnerable to monsoons and rising sea levels, and the Pacific island nation of Tuvalu, where the sea is slowly swallowing habitable land – and offers some constructive solutions.
