Armand Assante gives "the performance of his career" (New York Times) in this geopolitical comedy by Romanian filmmaker Cristian Nemescu, who died in a car accident while editing the film. Assante plays a "get-it-done" American communications officer in charge of a trainload of NATO supplies during the Bosnian conflict of 1999. Alas, the train becomes endlessly derailed by bureaucratic red-tape and petty feuding when it passes through a tiny Balkan backwater. Nemescu posthumously won the Un Certain Regard Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
