Nicole Kidman stars in this "strangely poetic" (Los Angeles Times) independent feature from filmmaker Steven Shainberg and writer Erin Cressida Wilson (SECRETARY) - an audacious fable about the inner life of photographer Diane Arbus. Shainberg and Wilson venture away from the known facts of Arbus's life to propose a fetishistic fantasy in which the fledgling photographer befriends a furry neighbor (Robert Downey Jr.), a pairing that ignites Arbus's inner muse and liberates her to create the disturbing and iconic images for which she is famed.
Alan Cumming delivers a memorable, over-the-top performance and makes his solo directorial debut in an unnerving black comedy that Salon hailed as "an outrageous...midnight movie cult hit in the making." Cumming plays John Vandermark, a controlling and increasingly unstable music teacher with a penchant for assisting young, attractive male artists. However, when he suspects an opportunistic writer (David Boreanaz) has used him, Vandermark takes cruel revenge. Featuring juicy cameos from Anne Heche, Carrie Fisher, Jane Lynch and Karen Black.
The Chaser
Fueled by a heady mixture of unsettling suspense and darkly cynical humor, South Korean filmmaker Hong-jin Na's remarkable debut revisits the familiar "serial killer on the loose" thriller formula and flips it inside out. Jung-ho (Kim yun-Seok), a former police detective-turned-pimp, has a problem: his women are disappearing without a trace. However, when the disreputable Jung-ho collars the obvious psychopath and turns him over to the police, law enforcement laziness and ineptitude only make matters worse, endangering additional lives.
