While perpetual change is part of daily life in Manhattan, one constant is the complaint that the best of the city is disappearing. Documentary filmmaker Douglas Keeve (UNZIPPED; SEAMLESS) watches as the iconic Gramercy Park Hotel undergoes a controversial redesign by hotelier Ian Schrager and artist Julian Schnabel. Once a society mecca, and later a seedy-chic favorite for rockers and celebrities, The Gramercy Park's colorful and tragic history is told by many long-time residents and surviving members of the family who owned it for decades.
