In a remote village in Zambia, a collective of 23 women many of whom can't read or write are given a rare opportunity to make a film about a subject close to their lives. The Samfya Women Filmmakers broke traditions of silence with the real-life story of Penelop, a teen who must abandon school to provide for herself and her family when she is orphaned by AIDS. An inspiring documentary about the power of film and narrative, WHERE THE WATER MEETS THE SKY was directed by David Eberts and Helen Cotton and features narration by Morgan Freeman.
