Filmmaker Robert Altman and writer Garry Trudeau revisit the characters from their groundbreaking 1988 TV miniseries TANNER '88 in this four-part follow-up, which comically satirizes the worlds of politics and independent filmmaking. In Boston for the Democratic convention, Alex (Cynthia Nixon) and her father (Michael Murphy) soon discover Alex isn't the only independent filmmaker shooting on the floor of the Fleet Center.
