Better known for visceral, graphic horror movies such as ONE MISSED CALL and AUDITION, Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike here presents an engaging blend of sci-fi saga and kitschy nostalgia. Sho Aikawa stars as Shinichi, an unhappy teacher obsessed with a short-lived TV show following the exploits of the titular superhero. When a strange, crab-headed creature appears in Shinichi's neighborhood - and crime levels suddenly rise - Shinichi creates a black-and-white striped costume and heads out to save the world.
