Georgia Lee, Director
With her directorial debut, Georgia Lee presents an honest, engaging and comic look at a dysfunctional Chinese-American family as they confront assimilation, tradition, sexual identity and suburbia. Patriarch Ed Wong (Tzi Ma) is confounded by his three grown daughters (Jacqueline Kim, Elaine Kao, Kathy Shao-Lin Lee), who seemed more understandable as toddlers. However, when Ed checks into a Buddhist monastery, the three sisters find their lives upended as well. Winner of the Best Narrative Feature Award at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival.
