Ji-woon Kim, Director
Based on a Korean folk tale, Kim Ji-woon's "monstrously effective" (Village Voice) psychological horror story tells the story of two teenage sisters (Lim Su-jeong and Mun Geun-yeong) who return home to join their father (Kim Kap-su) and stepmother (Yum Jung-ah) at the family's opulent lakeside mansion. However, all is not well. The girls soon suspect their stepmother of evil and try to warn their father, while the house itself seems haunted by a dreadful secret. "A somber reflection on memory, adolescence and mourning" - New York Times.
