Joseph Losey, Director
More discussed than seen, this adaptation of Tennessee Williams's stage drama "The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore" directed by Joseph Losey (ACCIDENT) was the first major flop for '60s reigning screen couple Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Taylor plays the richest woman in the world, who is visited on her Mediterranean island by a poet (Burton) known as "The Angel of Death." In recent years BOOM! has been vigorously championed by filmmaker John Waters and praised for its style and design by the staff of Vogue. Noel Coward costars.
