Available for the first time on DVD, famed writer Dylan Thomas' masterpiece is brought to life in this critically acclaimed film adaptation.

A small Welsh fishing village begins to stir as two strangers (Richard Burton and Ryan Davies) make their way over the hills and into its cobbled streets. Blind old seafarer Captain Cat (Peter O'Toole) sits at his window, listening to the villagers going to and fro, and remembering his lost love, the lusty Rosie Probert (Elizabeth Taylor). Schoolmaster Mr. Pugh (Talfryn Thomas) dreams of murder as he brings tea to Mrs. Pugh (Vivien Merchant). Miss Myfanwy Price (Glynis Johns) sells candy to eager schoolchildren and awaits her daily letter from her suitor Mog Edwards (Victor Spinetti). A bus of tourists surveys the town, scarcely imagining the amazing tumble of humanity to be found there.
