Paul Giamatti (SIDEWAYS) stars as a middle-aged auto upholsterer who seeks transcendence via a passion for falconry. George (Giamatti) lives a mundane existence with his sister (Rusty Schwimmer) and her mentally challenged son (Michael Pitt). Alas, George's avian obsession appears to be yet another disappointment—at least initially. Julian Goldberger, who garnered international attention with his feature debut TRANS (1998), returned to the Sundance Film Festival with this adaptation of a novel by Southern writer Harry Crews.
