The Chesapeake Bay, where generations of "watermen" made their living harvesting blue crabs, oysters and striped bass, is the setting for this award-winning coming-of-age family drama from Doug Sadler (RIDERS). Observed through the eyes of 11-year-old Emma Tyler (Tara Devon Gallagher), the daughter of a crab fisherman (Robert Knott) and his fiercely determined wife (Cherry Jones), SWIMMERS follows the Tyler family's spiritual and financial crisis after Emma sustains an ear injury requiring a costly operation. With Shawn Hatosy and Sarah Paulson.
