I was amazed and surprised that you offer very little content for those folks browsing your site with non-flash enabled devices. Offering only a link to a tv schedule (but only for the current month, not so helpful on when browsing on the last day of the month) and nothing more.
I was simply trying to find out more about the new Elvis Costello series, and due to your totally flash-centric site I was unable to do so. Seems like a major step backwards to me.
Flash is a decent tool, but if you do your job correctly you can still easily provide alternate content for those browsing with mobile (a rising trend) or non-flash-enabled devices (iPhone and such).
[edit: What's worse is when I turn off javascript on my std browser all of your flash content is disabled, and yet there's plenty of content for me to view. Browsing the sundancechannel/series page, for example, provides me with the exact info that I was quickly looking for, but when I try to directly access the page with my iPhone - I'm completely blocked from doing so - instead I get some crappy generic page about downloading Flash) You've gone out of your way to block content from being easily viewed on your site - smooth move.] |
