Yes, we still see George and James and Paul and DeeDee on the tube regularly, but to see them reminiscing about those heady times in 1992 was to re-live it myself, as well. Yeah! I was finally on the winning team, after voting for the loser in my first four presidential elections. And what a team it was: smart, witty, self-assured, forward-thinking; they were the future and Poppy was the past. Very amusing to note the changes in the way we retrieved information then vs. now, and how the blur of our 24-hour news cycle has made election campaigns harder, not easier. It still astounds me when I see the partnership forged by James Carville and Mary Matalin, despite the vast ideological gulf between them. Inspires married folk everywhere. If they can continue to hold it together, then so can we... Thanks to Pennebaker and Hegedus for bringing it all back, vividly. Just in time for my next big vote for a winner.
