The Sundance Channel would like to invite all of our members to comment on the Eco-mmunity Map and hopefully provide constructive criticism.

Additionally, If there are any suggestions or ideas for new features that would help the Eco-mmunity better serve the environmental movement, please post them in this discussion area.

When I signed up for a map location, I wanted to indicate something about Solar. I looked for a SUN icon but didn't find any. There is a windmill, but nothing that seemed to belong to solar. Could we have a SUN icon?

I think that a LINKS section should be added that would list by category many of the companies and organizations involved in the many areas presented in your programming.

Here's an example - Say a person wants to look under alternative energy. The links section would have an alternative energy category with sub-categories of wind, solar, geothermal, etc. Under each of these sub-categories, companies that sell these products and organizations that promote this area. I believe this resource would be useful to the whole community.

There are areas that are very crowded (east coast) and it makes it hard to view all markers. Would like to make sure I have seen all markers in an area.

I tried to add the Union Square Greenmarket in Safari on a Mac, and it crashed-without-crashing and kept giving me a brand new page. I switched to Firefox and it went through just fine.

I wish that instead of looking up links within X miles, it would just show the closest ten, fifty or hundred and zoom accordingly. For my parent's house in Kentucky nothing showed up in 10 miles, but the map for my house in NYC was really crowded.

More people need to know about it so it becomes a real community and eco resource. The more companies that sign up and people the better it will be. You need to reach out to as many contacts as possible to get people involved.

[/size[size=18]This site is evolving nicely, I believe. I strongly believe that more links to already existing n0t-for-profit Ecology-minded orgs could really benefit us all most expediently. (Organizations such as the Arbor Day Foundation, Audubon Society, TeacherTube.com, ALSO ****www.silentunity.org. ****May the Great Spirit who made and loves us all--bless and keep you now & always***One Day At A Time.

first thing you need to do is clean up these boards and get all the repeated postings off. i was really hoping this would be a good discussion place, but not until it functions better. really there is no excuse for something like this to be representing the sundance channel!

i was trying to find any current discussion of greensburg. somebody puhleeze make this easier.

[i]Please, read my recent postings at the discussion page---August 25, 2008. ****And, also-kindly consider an additional window or column in it where the community members here can Suggest/Request (soon Vote for) Favorite Authors, Books, Musical composers & lyracists of all time.
Of course, I'm biased (I am human and well over the age of 50) Yet, I've just GOT TO TELL YOU that there are so many great pieces of literature that are CRYING OUT FOR being popularized and being put to film..**..Books by such authors as Rumer Godden and her sister Jon Godden and many of the older and more recent works by James Michener have so very much potential, too. And, film heroes??-In my opinion--The world could more benefit from & enjoy learning more about REAL LIFE heroes from the past---such as Roy Rogers, Gene Autrey, Peace Pilgrim, Jacques Cousteau, Sacajawea, Chief Sequoia{who, best I recall-developed a written alphabet for the Cherokee language), Chief Dan George (who, I believe-led the Nez Pierce Indians successful effort to save the Appaloosa horses for posterity), and the man who trained ALL the tv & movie dogs named "Lassie". ****Lest I be totally remiss in what I see as my God-given duty***I MUST ALSO suggest MOST HEARTILY that you good people-readers, thinkers, do-ers***PLEASE read the true story of a horse and the man who trained him (insert plenty of violins, piano crescendos, piccolos, and DRUM roll, Please *)
Beautiful Jim Key!!!!!! I don't have access to my notes right now....but, I promise...you can expect to be, "amazed before you're half-way through," non-fiction piece of work by the name of Beautiful Jim Key. Thanks for giveng this a read & keep coming back,Please.
