To minimize greenhouse gas emissions and reduce dependence on petroleum products (foreign or domestic), we're converting our Moving Vans to operate on 100% Pure Vegetable Oil.

The decision to spend upwards of $4,000 per power vehicle to convert them to run on Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) was not entirely idealistic--it was also based on numbers.

Moving Companies spend tremendous amounts of money on diesel.

I often tell my father: I work my tail off generating huge sums of cash for two industries, the Insurance industry, and Big Oil.

And I'm removing Big Oil from the equation.

Doing so has cut our diesel consumption--so far, because we haven't converted the entire fleet just yet, mind you--by 33%. This might not sound like a lot, but it's opened a profit margin that allows us to redirect much needed revenue back into the company, allowing us to save for additional conversions (so it's having a compounding affect).

Even Don Miller, an executive with Penske Truck Rentals, Inc, agreed that the transportation industry was soon to change, that smaller companies, such as CMTR Moving Services, LLC, were in a better position to invest in and profit from the alternative fuels revolution, because the two industries needed to grow with one another to accommodate demand.

In time we hope to influence more transportation-related companies to invest in and profit from the use of green fuels, such as WVO.

While WVO is NOT the answer to America's dependence on petroleum, we believe it's a band-aid, of sorts, and that it might buy us time while searching for more suitable sources of energy to power this great nation.

    Respectfully,

I'm very grateful to hear that people are beginning to catch on in the transportation industry. I applaude and highly commend your efforts, and hope you're able--eventually--to influence these same changes across the entire nation. Keep up the good work!
